The focus of the mixed martial arts world will be on the Bellator cage on Fri., May 18 as the long-awaited battle between No. 1 ranked women’s 115-pound fighter Megumi Fujii takes on No. 2 ranked Jessica Aguilar at Bellator 69 LIVE from L’Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles. The night will also feature the finals of the $100,000 Bellator Lightweight Tournament, as well as a Heavyweight Tournament qualifier as knockout specialist Ron Sparks takes on rising star Kevin Asplund. Tickets are now on sale from $40-$65 and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or at the L’Auberge box office. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the first fight scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Every Thursday we have extended hours. During this time people gather with common interest to share, make new friends and have fun. You are not required to participate in the ongoing project, but feel free to join in. Coffee Bar open, Kitchen Closed
First Thursday - Craft Night (needle craft, beading, collage, quilting, basically anything you want bring along and work on while visiting with others) May have demonstrations on some evenings).
Second Thursday- Sketch Night, there will be models, or a theme, or group exercises to bring out your inner talent. No matter your experience come out and give this a try. Bring your crayons, pencils, pens, charcoal, paints, whatever your medium of choice, meet other artists and have fun.
Third Thursday- Poetry Night, bring your written word and share it open mic style. Bring your journals and share ideas with other writers
Fourth Thursday - Photography Group, film, digital, professionals, beginners, hobbiest all are welcome. We will be sharing ideas, working on group projects & helping each other improve their skills.
Fifth Thursday - Game night. Bring out the family play some chess, checkers, scrabble, cards, video games. Anything goes!

The Taste of Louisiana Festival
The Taste of Louisiana Festival is an annual Festival that takes place Saturday May 26th, 2012 Memorial Weekend on the Lake Charles Boardwalk in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The Taste of Louisiana Festival is a unique family event that highlights Louisiana’s traditions, food, music, and culture collectively in one event. The event is designed to embrace the Cajun, Creole and Indian heritage of the State of Louisiana, and share the extraordinary to locals and visitors alike. This year we are an official event of the Louisiana Bicentennial Celebration!

EXPERIENCE LOUISIANA


FOOD. Can you imagine all of the Louisiana Cuisine in one place at one time? The Taste of Louisiana Festival features dishes from every Parrish of Louisiana such as Crawfish, Boudin, Gumbo, Etouffee and much more.

Barbeque Cook- off- What would Memorial weekend be without barbeque? Do you have the best barbeque in Louisiana? We have decided to let you showcase your grilling skills at The 2012 Festival. Please see our Barbeque Cook-off section for details.

MUSIC. Enjoy the sounds of non- stop music from Louisiana’s Cajun, Zydeco, Jazz, and Brass Bands. Also, there’s plenty of space for you to dance the day and night away. (2012 performers will be announced in the coming months).

CULTURE. Come learn a lesson on Louisiana’s History. This area will highlight some of Louisiana’s unique cultural differences, influences and contributions through exhibits donated by various organizations.
