The Women’s Commission of Southwest Louisiana and McNeese State University are hosting a Jr. Women’s Conference on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at McNeese State University’s Parra Ballroom from 9 o’clock am to 3 o’clock pm. The conference is an exciting day of fun designed to help young women, grades 9-11, recognize and build on their own unique potential. It will help them develop goals, self-esteem, and leadership qualities for the future.

The theme of this conference is “iMatter.” In addition to workshops, and a unique shopping venue, participants will be entertained with the musical talents of Eleisha Eagle and witness a glamorous fashion show produced by Blane Bourgeois of Synergy Salon.

About The Women’s Commission

The Women’s Commission of Southwest Louisiana, Inc., is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The Commission is best known for its annual Fall Women’s Conference.

The Commission’s overall purpose, ideals and goals are: to assess the needs of women and to initiate, endorse and support suitable endeavors that will advance the fulfillment of these needs; to provide resources that will empower women to improve and enhance their personal, social and community lives and professional development; to work for the advancement of women of all ages and to improve the overall status of the women of Southwest Louisiana; to promote diversity, fellowship and camaraderie as an opportunity to unite women in service to the community; and to address the concerns of women in a public forum.
